Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Ordinance Seeker Chrome extension ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ordinance Seeker is a Chrome extension that assists members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in identifying ancestors and descendants in their FamilySearch family tree who have temple ordinances available to be performed. The extension requires a paid subscription to use after a 7-day free trial.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ordinance Seeker. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. The extension is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

4. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or free trial eligibility.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• A 7-day free trial is available once per user. The free trial may only be used one time per email address or Google account.
• After the trial period, your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• All prices are in US dollars.

6. Refunds

All subscription payments are non-refundable. Because a free trial is offered before any charge occurs, we do not issue refunds for the current billing period after payment has been made. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. See our Refund Policy for full details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the extension.
• Use the Service in a way that violates FamilySearch's terms of service.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your subscription.
• Use automated scripts or bots in conjunction with the Service beyond normal extension operation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with Ordinance Seeker are the property of their respective owners. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that search results will be complete or accurate. Ordinance Seeker is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to FamilySearch or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ordinance Seeker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
